Nurse Apprenticeship

About the role

The Nurse Apprentice role at Menorah Medical Center is designed for individuals who are currently enrolled in a nursing program and are completing clinicals with the facility. This position offers paid clinical experiences as part of the KHA Career Advancement Program.

Responsibilities

• Delivers high quality, patient-centered care by performing a variety of delegated basic patient care services related to common nursing functions and activities of daily living.
• Affixes to the nursing staff in providing patient care in accordance with the Nurse Extern’s skills/training and the needs of the Department.
• Consistently assists the patient care team with maintaining a clean, well-organized, and safe patient care environment.

Requirements

• Currently enrolled and in good standing in an accredited school of nursing for Registered Nurse.
• Completion of Nursing Fundamentals is required.
• 1+ years of nursing school completed, or as mandated by state of practice is preferred.
• Lives in the State of Kansas.
• Attends a Kansas Board of Nursing program.
• High School Graduate / GED required.
• Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
