Nurse Anesthetist (PRN)

About the Role

The CRNA provides anesthesia care for patients across all ages and acuity levels in various settings, including surgical, obstetrical, diagnostic, therapeutic, and pain management procedures.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, and administer anesthesia tailored to patient needs.
• Operate and interpret data from anesthesia and perioperative equipment.
• Collaborate effectively with clinical staff and other disciplines.
• Maintain patient safety and comfort during procedures.
• Adhere to facility policies, procedures, and infection control standards.
• Maintain confidential records and demonstrate clinical competency.

Requirements

• Current active RN license in Alabama or a compact state.
• Graduate of an accredited nurse anesthesia program.
• Certification by the National Board of Certification and Recertification for Nurse Anesthetists.
• Certifications in ACLS, BLS, PALS.

Skills

• Strong communication, clinical, and developmental knowledge.
• Ability to operate anesthesia equipment and provide patient-specific care.
• Understanding of growth, development, and infection prevention.
