About the role
Management of patients pre-operatively, intra-operatively, and post-operatively under the supervision of staff anesthesiologists.
Responsibilities
- Performs a complete health history, preanesthetic assessment, and anesthetic care plan for each patient.
- Implements an anesthetic care plan.
- Participates in teaching and learning.
- Demonstrates professional accountability.
- Documents on Anesthesia Operative Record.
Requirements
Minimum Education and Experience
- A minimum of a Master’s degree in advanced nursing practice is required.
Credentialing
- Must meet requirements set forth by the Medical Staff Office to obtain and retain privileges to practice as a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist within UF Health Shands Hospital and/or the Shands UF Healthcare Network, as applicable.
- Must successfully pass an AHCA Level 2 screening for this position: https://info.flclearinghouse.com/.
Licensure/Certification/Registration
- Current and clear license as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) in the State of Florida.
- Certified in Basic Cardiac Life Support.
