Nurse Aide Student

About the role

This is a six-week paid training program (up to 29 hours per week) that includes classroom and clinical settings with the goal of successful completion of the state certification exam and subsequent employment as a Certified Nursing Assistant at Davis & McDaniel Vet Care Center.

Responsibilities

• Attend classroom sessions Monday–Friday, 9:00 am–2:30 pm.
• Attend clinical sessions 6:45 am–3:15 pm.
• Complete assignments and participate in clinical assignments as scheduled.
• Interact professionally and courteously with instructors, peers, staff, and residents.
• Follow facility policies, procedures, and the direction of instructors and supervisors.
• Upon completion of training, shifts will be offered based on facility needs.

Requirements

• Highly motivated and considerate team member.
• Steady work record.
• High school graduate preferred.
• Some experience working in a healthcare facility or with elderly individuals preferred.
