Nurse Aide I & Clinical Secretary - Mother/Baby

About the role

The Nurse Aide I/Clinical Secretary provides appropriate secretarial support to patients/families and professional staff to ensure efficient customer-oriented service delivery.

Responsibilities

• Delivers patient care under the direction of the Registered Nurse, incorporating WakeMed's Patient & Family Centered Care (PFCC) model.
• Supports the PFCC model by listening to and honoring patient and family perspectives and choices.
• Communicates and shares complete and unbiased information with patients and families in an affirming and useful manner.
• Encourages and supports patients and families in participating in care and decision-making at the level they choose.
• Collaborates with patients and families in the delivery of care.

Requirements

• Nurse Aide I licensure required.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• One year healthcare experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Strong communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Attention to detail and organizational skills.

Skills

• Excellent interpersonal skills.
• Basic computer literacy.
