Prometric, the recognized global leader in technology-enabled testing and assessment services, is seeking experienced Registered Nurses with long-term-care experience to administer the Certified Nursing Aide (CNA) Exam in Brooklyn, NY. This role evaluates candidates pursuing CNA certification and ensures a high-quality test experience.

Responsibilities

  • Proctor a computerized knowledge-based examination.
  • Objectively observe and score candidates demonstrating clinical skills.
  • Prepare for test events by monitoring rosters and ensuring site setup and cleanup.
  • Maintain test-area security through Prometric policies and practices.
  • Greet examinees, verify identification, and monitor candidates during written and practical exams.
  • Manage testing environment to ensure smooth candidate flow.
  • Resolve candidate issues or escalate them to the appropriate supervisor.
  • Protect exam content by administering computer-based testing.
  • Reboot workstations and reset passwords as needed.
  • Report any occurrences outside company guidelines to the appropriate supervisor.
  • Develop and maintain strong working relationships with testing sites.
  • Maintain online appointment schedule to ensure event coverage.
  • Provide on-site leadership for candidates.
  • Foster professional relationships with peers in the Nurse Aide Evaluator Community.
  • Serve as a Prometric Brand Ambassador during test administrations.
  • Coordinate candidate rosters.

Requirements

  • Active and unrestricted Registered Nurse license in the state of operation.
  • One year of experience in long-term care or caring for the chronically ill of any age.
  • Staff development and/or training experience preferred.
  • Intermediate to advanced technical skills and familiarity with computer programs (MS Office, Outlook, web browsing).
  • Access to personal computer equipment (laptop, printer, etc.).
  • Valid driver’s license and vehicle to travel to test events.
  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Proactive, flexible, and able to work independently.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to travel up to 30 miles or more one way from your zip code (mileage reimbursed beyond 30 miles).
  • Ability to stand for extended periods (up to 8 hours per event).
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds (testing mannequin).

Schedule

  • Administer up to 3 test days per week (average of 8 hours per test day).
  • Exams are primarily Monday through Friday, with some Saturday and occasional Sunday examinations.
  • Test locations within a 30–45 mile radius of your zip code.
