About the role

Prometric seeks experienced Registered Nurses with long-term care experience to administer the Certified Nursing Aide (CNA) Exam. This role evaluates candidates pursuing their CNA certification and ensures the highest quality test experience for Prometric’s clients.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate candidate skills through objective observation and scoring of clinical demonstrations.
  • Proctor computerized knowledge-based examinations.
  • Prepare for test events by monitoring rosters and ensuring site setup and cleanup.
  • Maintain test area security and adhere to Prometric policies and practices.
  • Greet examinees, verify identification, and monitor candidates during written and practical exams.
  • Manage testing environment to ensure smooth candidate flow.
  • Resolve candidate issues or escalate them to the appropriate supervisor.
  • Protect exam content by administering computer-based testing.
  • Demonstrate technical proficiency to reboot workstations and reset passwords as needed.
  • Report any occurrences outside company guidelines to the appropriate supervisor.
  • Develop and maintain strong working relationships with testing sites.
  • Maintain an online appointment schedule to ensure event coverage.
  • Provide on-site leadership for candidates and foster professional relationships with peers.
  • Serve as a Prometric Brand Ambassador during test administrations.
  • Coordinate candidate rosters.

Schedule

  • Administer up to 1-2 test days per week (average of 8 hours per test day).
  • Exams are primarily scheduled Monday through Friday.
  • Flexible availability: 1 to 2 days per week or 2 to 4 days per month.
  • Exams are administered within a 30-45 mile radius of the employee’s zip code; mileage beyond 30 miles is reimbursed.

Requirements

  • Active and unrestricted Registered Nurse license in the state of operation.
  • One (1) year of experience in long-term care or caring for the chronically ill of any age.
  • Staff development and/or training experience preferred.
  • Intermediate to advanced technical skills and familiarity with computer programs (e.g., MS Office, Outlook, web browsing).
  • Access to personal computer equipment (e.g., laptop, printer).
  • Valid driver’s license and vehicle for travel to test events.
  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Proactive, flexible, and able to work independently.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to travel 30 miles or more one way from zip code.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods (up to 8 hours per event).
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds (e.g., testing mannequin).
