Nurse Aide - CNA / STNA

We are looking for skilled, compassionate Certified Nursing Assistants (CNA/STNA) – or those pursuing STNA certification – who desire a career that matters in a community that values their expertise. Shifts

Full-time and part-time positions available on 1st, 2nd, and 3rd shifts.

Pay

Starting from $18.50 per hour, with increases based on experience. A $1.00 shift differential is provided for 2nd and 3rd shifts.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality care and safety to elders
• Present elders with choices and decision-making opportunities
• Engage in meaningful activities with elders
• Assist elders in getting up and going to bed according to their preferences
• Plan and cook their favorite foods and share meals with them
• Perform laundry and light housekeeping tasks

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent
• Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA/STNA) certification required in the State of Ohio; must pass the state test and be listed on the Nurse Aide Registry (training assistance available for those pursuing certification)
• Good documentation, communication, and interpersonal skills
• Ability to use proper lift techniques and equipment to move, lift, and transfer residents

Certification Assistance

In partnership with local accredited schools, we offer a Nursing Assistant Training Class for those seeking certification. Otterbein covers the class and application fee, as well as the Ohio State test fee. Free books and training materials are provided.
