Nurse Aide (120 days)
About the role
Hale Makua Health Services is a Maui-based non-profit nursing facility dedicated to improving the well-being of Maui's elders through compassionate care. As a Nurse Aide (CNA), you will provide essential nursing care and support to residents, including personal care, restorative care, and activities of daily living.
Responsibilities
- Orient residents to the unit and facility, including bathroom, call system, shower schedule, and lanai/common areas.
- Introduce residents to the dining area and inform them of meal schedules and snack times.
- Inform residents about the activity calendar and where activities are held.
- Respond to resident calls, call bells, call lights, and alarms immediately.
- Respond to family requests promptly.
- Inform the Charge Nurse when required.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Completed State of Hawaii Nurse Aide Training Program.
- Scheduled Prometric exam within 120 days of hire.
- Current and valid 2 Step TB clearance and health review (can be done in-house).
