Nurse (16 hours)

Location: Millbury - Outpatient Treatment Program

Schedule

Part-time, 16 hours per week: 5:00 AM–1:30 PM every other Monday, every Thursday, and every other Saturday.

Pay

• $33.00/hour for Licensed Practical Nurses (LPN)
• $36.00/hour for Registered Nurses (RN)
• Additional $3.00/hour weekend shift differential

Responsibilities

• Administer medication to clients as outlined in medication administration policy
• Control, count, and document onsite medication appropriately
• Educate clients on use, purpose, side effects, and other information relating to medication-assisted treatment
• Verify medication orders with the physician and transcribe physician’s orders
• Assist in the admission process and document substance use diagnosis as required

Qualifications

• Must be a Massachusetts Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Registered Nurse (RN)
• Must have a current CPR certificate or obtain certification within 90 days of hire
• Must display appropriate independent judgment to determine the course of action in resolving problems and emergencies
• Must be able to express self adequately in written and oral communication and communicate effectively in an interdisciplinary, culturally diverse setting with clients, families, staff, and regulatory agencies
• Experience in substance abuse/mental health field or an acute care inpatient healthcare environment preferred
