About the role
This position involves administering medications, performing treatments, assisting with sick calls, managing chronic care clinics, responding to emergencies, conducting assessments, collecting specimens, preparing patients for discharge, participating in training, and assuming various nursing duties.
Responsibilities
- Administers medication (oral, intramuscular, and intravenous)
- Makes subjective and objective assessments of patients
- Captures vital signs and documents findings
- Collects and prepares urine and/or other bodily fluid specimens
- Ensures discharge medication orders are completed and forwarded to pharmacy
- Participates in work-related training and institution exercises
- Assists other healthcare staff and provides patient education
- Investigates and documents problem areas or concerns
- Assumes duties of other nurses during absences
- Provides training and work direction to new nurses and healthcare staff
- Serves as a resource for other healthcare and security staff
- Performs administrative tasks as needed
- Attends meetings and schedules multidisciplinary team meetings
- Assumes shift charge duties as assigned
- Assists ancillary staff as needed
Requirements
Requires current licensure as a registered professional nurse in the state of Ohio.
Qualifications
- Current licensure as registered professional nurse in state of Ohio
- Experience in urgent and emergency care
- Basic medical procedures knowledge
- Medical charting skills
- Direct support/direct care experience
- Problem-solving and critical thinking abilities

Pay
Starting pay is approximately $80,000 based on location/shift assignments.
Schedule
Full-time schedule.
