Numerical Control Programmer 3 (contract)
This posting is for a contract assignment and is not a full-time employment offer with Boeing. Candidates selected for roles will be employed as contract workers through a Boeing approved 3rd party for the duration of the specified project.
About the role
This individual will join a BT&E Aero Noise & Propulsion team that provides numerical control, machining, and programming technical experience related to all airplane models and additive manufactured parts. This Mid-Level Numerical Control Programmer will plan, create, verify, and revise Machine Control Data (MCD), geometry, and documentation that directs the operations for a complete spectrum of numerically controlled equipment required to manufacture and inspect parts, tools, and assemblies.
Responsibilities
- Plans, creates, verifies, and revises Machine Control Data (MCD), geometry, and documentation that directs the operations for numerically controlled equipment required to manufacture and inspect parts, tools, and assemblies for departmental work.
- Reads and interprets technical blueprints with strong attention to detail and complete understanding of every aspect of the part.
- Establishes technical requirements to determine producibility and manufacturing process.
- Provides numerical control, machining, and programming technical experience.
- Collaborates with Design Engineering and Manufacturing Engineering to ensure a quality NC program prior to part fabrication.
- Plans and guides the development and integration of new machining techniques and manufacturing methods, processes, software, and equipment.
- Works independently and under minimal direction.
This position is expected to be 100% onsite at one of the listed location options.
Requirements
- 2+ years of experience in Numerical Control (NC) programming.
Qualifications
- 3 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Experience in CAD/CAM software (preferred CATIA, Vericut simulation, MasterCAM).
Good relationship-building and excellent communication skills are required.
Pay
54 - 59 USD hourly
