About the Role

This is a potential opportunity that is in bid status. The Nuclear Medicine Technologist balances the needs of patients and staff while performing complex scans and procedures. The role involves demonstrating appropriate techniques to gather relevant information from medical records, significant others, and healthcare providers, and assessing factors that may contraindicate procedures.

Maintains knowledge of physical assessment, aseptic techniques, intravenous skills, and universal precautions. Knowledgeable in pre-procedural, procedural, and post-procedural care of patients. Possesses specific expertise in cross-sectional human anatomy and its application in spiral and/or multi-slice computer tomography, including 3-D reconstruction scans, drainages, biopsies, and peripheral vascular examinations.

Requirements

  • Nuclear Medicine Technologist certification through the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB).
