About the role

Assist in the delivery of primary health care and patient care management.

Responsibilities

• Assist in giving patient care.
• Prepares patients for examination and treatment.
• Perform blood draws (strong skills required).
• Knowledge of examination, diagnostic, and treatment room procedures.
• Operates and manages lab equipment including start-up, running controls, and shut down as requested.
• Provides required reports.
• Experience with medical equipment and instruments used to administer patient care.
• Perform common safety hazards and precautions to maintain a safe work environment.
• Maintaining records and recording test results.
• Develop and maintain department quality assurance.
• Maintain quality control standards.
• React calmly and effectively in emergency situations.
• Interpret, adapt, and apply guidelines and procedures.
• Communicate clearly.
• Attends required meetings and participates in committees as requested.
• Assist with CT prep.
• Assist in training new employees.
• Performs related work as required.

Requirements

• Professional demeanor and courteous attitude with emphasis on customer service.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with patients, employees, and the public.
• Requires full range of body motion including handling and lifting patients, manual and finger dexterity, and eye-hand coordination.
• Involves standing and walking.
• Occasionally lifts and carries items weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Requires normal range visual acuity and hearing.

Qualifications

• High School Graduate or GED.
• CNA/Medical Assistant School graduate from accredited school or two years of work experience recommended.
