Nuclear Medicine Technologist

About the role

We are seeking a Nuclear Medicine Technologist to perform routine and specialized nuclear cardiology and nuclear medicine procedures, including administering radiopharmaceuticals, acquiring and evaluating images, and providing data for physician interpretation.

Responsibilities

• Performing quality control and maintaining equipment calibration
• Reviewing patient history for safety and appropriateness
• Educating patients about procedures
• Conducting radiopharmacy duties such as ordering, dispensing, and assaying radioactive materials
• Assisting with departmental workflows and accreditation processes

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Graduate from an accredited Nuclear Medicine Technology program
• Valid NYS DOH License (L.N.M.T.)
• ARRT (N) or CNMT certification
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• IV certification or eligibility

Skills & Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand or sit for extended periods
• Capability to lift and move patients as needed
• Attention to safety and quality standards
