About the role
Primarily Virginia Beach with occasional floating to Chesapeake
Monday–Friday | 8:00 AM–5:00 PM
No nights. No weekends. No holidays. No call.
Responsibilities
- Review patient histories and provider orders; explain procedures clearly to ensure patient comfort and understanding
- Prepare, administer, store, and properly dispose of radiopharmaceuticals in compliance with safety and regulatory standards
- Maintain and perform quality and safety checks on nuclear medicine imaging equipment
- Position patients, perform diagnostic scans, and evaluate image quality—making adjustments as needed
- Document, transmit, and report imaging results accurately and efficiently
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited Nuclear Medicine Technologist program
- Current certification as a Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist (CNMT) through NMTCB or Registered Technologist (RT-NM) through ARRT
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association
- Registered Radiologic Technologist certification preferred
