Responsibilities
- Orders all isotopes as needed for studies which are pending.
- Maintains equipment and hot lab according to state and federal regulations.
- Performs all QC procedures.
- Maintains radiation safety badges and logs.
- Cross-trained in other radiology modalities preferred.
- Follows the principles and guidelines as set forth by the American College of Radiology.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Satisfactory completion of formal radiological training in an AMA-approved school of Nuclear Medicine.
- 3 years experience as a registered nuclear medicine technologist in an acute care hospital.
- Preferably registered by and in good standing with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) and State License through the Florida Bureau of Radiation Control is mandatory.
- Current American Red Cross or American Heart Association BLS/CPR certification required.
- Venipuncture certification preferred.
- Communication and interpersonal skills, basic computer skills and customer service skills required.
