About the role

A Nuclear Medicine Technologist will perform patient examinations using specialized imaging equipment while ensuring quality control and safety standards are met.

Responsibilities

• Conduct imaging procedures with proficiency in camera acquisition and computer processing.
• Collaborate with healthcare providers to ensure accurate and appropriate imaging.
• Prepare and administer radionuclides, explain procedures to patients, and maintain aseptic techniques.
• Maintain departmental readiness, document work, and manage quality control data.
• Confirm patient and exam accuracy, review physician requests, and ensure proper documentation.
• Adapt to new technology and assist in training coworkers and students.

Requirements

• Knowledge of human physiology and scintigraphic equipment.
• Ability to learn new tasks related to image quality and radiation safety.
• Effective communication and patient care skills across diverse age groups.
• Strong organizational, multitasking, and critical thinking abilities under busy conditions.
• Proficiency with radiology software (e.g., Cerner, Radworks, PACS).
• Required certifications: BLS, and ARRT RT(N) or CNMT.
• Preferred associate or bachelor’s degree.

Additional Requirements

• Ability to perform procedures independently with minimal supervision.
• Adherence to radiation safety principles and departmental policies.
• Basic clerical skills and familiarity with medical documentation.
• Strong problem-solving skills and judgment in a clinical setting.
