Nuclear Medicine Assistant Part Time Evenings
Under the direct supervision of a nuclear medicine technologist, senior nuclear medicine technologist, nuclear pharmacist, or physician, a Nuclear Medicine Technologist Assistant performs basic departmental tasks relating to patient care, quality control checks on instruments, radiopharmaceuticals, and some imaging procedures. Uses specific age and culture-related physical, intellectual, psychological, and developmental attributes in assessment, planning, education of patients, implementation, and evaluation of patient care. Delivers excellent customer service and follows Corewell Health's philosophy of Patient and Family Centered Care at all times.
Responsibilities
- Perform basic departmental tasks related to patient care
- Conduct quality control checks on instruments and radiopharmaceuticals
- Assist with imaging procedures
- Assess and plan patient care using age and culture-related attributes
- Educate patients and implement care plans
- Deliver excellent customer service
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- 1 year of relevant patient care experience
Qualifications
- CRT-Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross (ARC) required upon hire
