Nuclear Med Technologist - Imaging

Responsibilities

• Maintains radiation, personnel, and patient safety measures.
• Completes daily logs and periodic tests as required by the license.
• Adapts assigned patient assessment, treatment, and/or care methods to meet unique patient needs.
• Ensures compliance with policies, procedures, and standards of care.
• Performs examinations/procedures as needed to assist in patient throughput.
• Troubleshoots and reports any equipment malfunctions to relevant personnel.
• Scans and stores completed exams correctly in PACS.
• Follows PACS downtime procedures as a PACS Superuser and escalates issues as needed.
• Works other shifts and at other campuses as needed or required.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited school of Radiology Technology or other accepted and approved equivalent.
• One year of experience in a clinical nuclear medicine setting preferred.
• Basic computer experience required.
• Nuclear Medicine Technology (N) by ARRT or NMTCB required.
• State Licensure required (Texas: MRT by TMB, Louisiana: LRT (N) or (F) by LSRTB, New Mexico: NMT by MIRTP NMED).
• BLS required.
