Responsibilities
- Maintains radiation, personnel, and patient safety measures.
- Completes daily logs and periodic tests as required by the license.
- Adapts assigned patient assessment, treatment, and/or care methods to meet unique patient needs.
- Ensures compliance with policies, procedures, and standards of care.
- Performs examinations/procedures as needed to assist in patient throughput.
- Troubleshoots and reports any equipment malfunctions to relevant personnel.
- Scans and stores completed exams correctly in PACS.
- Follows PACS downtime procedures as a PACS Superuser and escalates issues as needed.
- Works other shifts and at other campuses as needed or required.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited school of Radiology Technology or other accepted and approved equivalent.
- One year of experience in a clinical nuclear medicine setting preferred.
- Basic computer experience required.
- Nuclear Medicine Technology (N) by ARRT or NMTCB required.
- State Licensure required (Texas: MRT by TMB, Louisiana: LRT (N) or (F) by LSRTB, New Mexico: NMT by MIRTP NMED).
- BLS required.
