About the role
The Nuclear Med Tech performs basic Nuclear Medicine procedures, as requested by a licensed physician. The nuclear med tech exercises professional judgment in providing healthcare services to assist in diagnosis or treatment of patients in all age groups from newborn to elderly and is skilled in the area of Nuclear Medicine.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited school of Nuclear Medicine
- 2-5 years in Diagnostic Nuclear Medicine
- Current registry or registry eligible with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in Nuclear Medicine, or the CNMT
- Current Texas Medical Board (TMB) license
- Active healthcare provider Basic Life Support on hire (ARC or AHA); must obtain AHA Healthcare Provider BLS within 60 days of hire
