About the role

Competently performs routine and specialized nuclear medicine procedures, including duties in a minimum of one specialty area, to produce quality images for physicians and other health care providers for the diagnosis, treatment, monitoring, and prevention of injury or disease. Works independently, exercising sound judgment and developed clinical skills to execute safe and precise procedures to deliver accurate results in a timely manner. Gains confidence and cooperation from patients, their families or support groups, and other healthcare providers through competent patient assessment, attentive monitoring, and effective communication. Adheres to all local, state, and federal regulations, codes, policies, and procedures to ensure privacy and safety while delivering optimal patient care. May also be responsible for performing specific procedures and/or orienting other staff to the department.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine and specialized nuclear medicine procedures.
• Assess and monitor patients effectively to ensure quality care and communication.
• Adhere to privacy and safety regulations, including protecting patient health information (PHI).
• Work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
• Prioritize tasks and manage time efficiently to meet deadlines.
• Resolve standard problems using established solutions.
• Build collaborative relationships with peers and other healthcare providers.
• Use computer applications such as Microsoft Office Suite, RIS, LIS, EHR (EPIC), and PACS.

Requirements

• Graduation from an accredited Nuclear Medicine Technology Program.
• 5 years of recent relevant experience.

Qualifications

• NMT-Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist OR
• ARRT (NM) - Radiography (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) OR
• ARRT (CT) - Radiography (if required at the affiliate) OR
• CRT - Certified Radiologic Technologist (if required at the affiliate).
• BLS - Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider certification.

Skills

• General knowledge of diagnostic nuclear medicine principles, procedures, views, and equipment.
• Experience responding to traumas and hospital emergencies.
• Understanding of human anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and related information systems (RIS, LIS, EHR, EPIC, PACS).
• Strong time management and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in an environment with interruptions.

Pay

Pay range is $88.66 to $124.12 per hour. The compensation range may vary based on geographic location, candidate experience, education, skills, licensure, certifications, departmental equity, training, and organizational needs.

Schedule

• Full Time (40 hours per week).
• Shift: Days, 10-hour shifts.
• Days of the week: Monday - Friday.
• Weekend requirements: None.
