Responsibilities
- Aid local leaders in recruiting and retaining members.
- Offer advice to members on job disputes and contract enforcement, guided by the Advocacy Director.
- Support locals during bargaining negotiations, assisted by the Bargaining Specialist.
- Train and assist locals to enhance their organizational capabilities.
- Collaborate with governance to advocate for locals and members.
- Perform additional tasks as directed by NSEA Management.
Requirements
- Proficiency in NSEA-approved technology and tools.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to analyze data effectively.
- General understanding of organizing, bargaining, member rights, and education policy.
- Capacity to provide consultation, support, and guidance to members in various situations.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- Skilled in working with external organizations and diverse groups.
- Attention to detail, organization, and prioritization of tasks.
- Strong advocacy, problem-solving, and conflict resolution skills.
- Ability to work with individuals from varied backgrounds and abilities.
- Effective resource management to optimize efficiency and reduce costs.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree is required.

Benefits
- Overnight and extended travel as needed for training and meetings around the state and at national conferences as assigned.
- Able to lawfully operate a motor vehicle in the State of Nebraska and be insurable under the NSEA commercial policy.
- Duties of this position may be performed indoors and outdoors.
- Ability to lift up to 20 pounds when required.
- Ability to stand, walk, climb, reach with hands and arms.
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
Pay
$78,400 annually
Working Conditions
