NSD Shift Supervisor (5165)

Job Responsibilities

• Assigns work, schedules shifts, and monitors attendance.
• Conducts supervision meetings.
• Ensures staff complies with agency, OCFS and state rules and regulations.
• Assists the Program Coordinator with day-to-day operations.
• Develops meeting agendas and ensures logs are completed accurately and in a timely manner.
• Ensures ratios are met and identifies areas of improvement.
• Plans and carries out activities to stimulate youth's emotional, physical, and social development.
• Acts as a liaison between the facility and the on-call Director in emergency crisis situations.
• Ensures end-of-shift communication promotes continuity of care.
• Ensures fire drills are completed and protocols are followed.
• Aids in the completion of admission packets and admits/orients new youth.
• Serves as a backup for staff and provides direct care to youth as needed.
• Contacts relevant parties within 24 hours of a significant critical incident.
• Conducts post-crisis debriefings and prepares necessary packets.
• Determines appropriate supervision plans for youth safety.
• Adheres to required documentation standards.
• Aids in arranging and supervising family contacts and visits.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalency diploma required; Associate degree preferred.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience working in a residential detention facility or short-term residential facility with youth required; more than 1 year preferred.
• Flexible schedule (rotating schedule) required.
• Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record required.
• TCI, First Aid/CPR certifications required.
• Ability to work with an economically and culturally diverse population.

Pay

$22.50/hour to $24.50/hour.
