About the role
Lunar Energy is seeking an NPI Program Management Intern to support the planning and execution of hardware builds across their development cycle. This role offers hands-on experience with cross-functional engineering teams, focusing on the build phases (EVT, DVT, PVT).
Responsibilities
- Support planning and coordination of engineering builds (EVT, DVT, PVT), including tracking parts availability, BOM alignment, and build readiness
- Maintain build trackers, action item logs, and status dashboards to keep teams aligned and on schedule
- Attend engineering and build readiness reviews, capturing notes, open actions, and key decisions
- Track build issues and follow up on defect closure across hardware, firmware, and mechanical engineering teams
- Clock scheduling and logistics across internal teams, contract manufacturers, and lab facilities
- Aid in documentation, process improvements, and ad hoc operational tasks for the NPI team
Requirements
- Currently pursuing a degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Operations, or a related field
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-moving environment
- Comfortable communicating with engineers and stakeholders across functions and levels
- Proficient in common productivity and project tracking tools (Excel, Google Sheets, Jira, Smartsheet, or similar)
- Eagerness to learn hardware development processes, NPI fundamentals, and program management practices
- Prior coursework or internship exposure to manufacturing, supply chain, or product development
- Familiarity with hardware development concepts such as BOMs, ECOs, or build cycles
Qualifications

Benefits
Lunar Energy provides a competitive compensation package, including a range of $30-$40 USD per hour, based on experience.
Pay
The hourly range for this position is $30-$40 USD. The actual offer will be at the company's sole discretion, and determined by factors including but not limited to years of experience, job level, geographic location, and other relevant business considerations.
Schedule
Hours are flexible and can vary based on project needs.
