NPI Product Engineer

About the role

The role is part of the KLA Services team, which focuses on maintaining the high performance and productivity of KLA's products through a flexible portfolio of services. The position involves supporting both external and internal customers with sophisticated wafer inspection systems. The team collaborates closely with engineering to improve serviceability and drive small projects in a matrix environment. This dynamic role requires a blend of technical knowledge and customer interaction.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Physics, IT/Software/Networking, Electronics, Optics, Mechanical, Software or related technical field and two years of proven experience.
• Hands-on experience building, operating, and solving problems for KLA Inspection systems.
• Knowledge of servers, electrical and mechanical systems, and/or motion control.
• Strong interest in technology, human factors, and business improvements.
• Flexibility to quickly adapt to a dynamic environment and availability for travel both domestically and internationally up to 10-20%.

Responsibilities

• Gain a systems engineering level knowledge of wafer inspection systems, including various technical areas.
• Support customers in the operation, installation, upgrade, diagnosis, repair, and application of systems.
• Provide written plans of action or hands-on assistance when first-line support fails to resolve issues.
• Write technical reports to communicate issues, analysis, and engineering recommendations.
• Implement and supervise progress of NPI/Sustaining work tasks, including diagnostic improvements and training plans.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to provide feedback on serviceability of new designs.

Pay

$85,600 - $145,500 per year
