About the role
Our site in Chaska is seeking an NPI Machining Process Technician to join our team. This role plays a critical role in enabling Entegris to drive the Future of Innovation.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, and cross-functional teams to develop, document, and enhance product manufacturability, including prototyping, fixture and design development, CNC programming for manufacturability, and optimizing work cell layout.
- Ensures product is consistent with established specifications.
- Escalates quality issues as appropriate.
- Ensures highest possible product quality and adherence to the Entegris quality system, ISO, and/or other standards.
- Focuses on key business processes to influence customer satisfaction, waste elimination, growth, cost effectiveness, and product/system quality.
- Promotes and implements use of continuous improvement tools to eliminate non-value activities.
- Participate actively in continuous improvement activities such as 5s, Kaizen events, etc.
- Affords assistance in training manufacturing personnel in the operation of new and existing equipment and processes.
- Affords assistance in manufacturing in resolving problems or concerns that arise during the manufacturing process.
- Completes miscellaneous tasks assigned in support of larger organization and production goals.
- Maintains a clean and safe work area.
- Wears required Personal Protective Equipment.
- Communicates potential hazards immediately to supervisor.
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience working with machining plastics preferred but not required
- Vocational education in machining or equivalent education preferred
- High School diploma or equivalent required
- Ability to set up and operate manufacturing equipment, such as CNC Mills, CNC Lathes and manual mills and lathes, and various equipment
- CAD and CAM proficiency. Mastercam and SolidWorks preferred
- Familiarity with Mazak CNC controls, Mazatrol experience preferred
- Understanding of basic SPC control tools
- Ability to adapt to work environment, work force, and customers’ needs
- Computer literacy – Microsoft Office Suite, SAP, and other applications
- Good visual ability to detect quality defects

Pay
- $35-$47 hourly range with actual pay dependent on candidate overall skills for the role
Schedule
- First shift schedule, Monday through Friday
- Flexible hours between 6:00 AM and 5:00 PM
- Occasional adjustments to this schedule may be required to meet project and production needs
