NPI Buyer

Responsibilities

• Maintains the strategic launch list to cover newly awarded programs.
• Leads the timely completion of tasks in the Supplier Readiness Review (SRR).
• Collaborates with Program Managers to identify suppliers, communicate updated drawings, manage RFQs, and issue and complete supplier PPAP purchase orders on time.
• Collaborates with sales and estimating teams to handle supplier pricing, tooling costs, material specifications, minimum order quantities (MOQs), and other relevant details.
• Collaborates with Commodity Managers to ensure preferred suppliers are utilized and presents to the Sourcing Board.
• Collaborates with Supplier Development Engineers to ensure tech reviews are conducted as needed and monitors supplier performance.
• Collaborates with the Corporate Supply Chain Analyst to establish suppliers in the appropriate ERP system.
• Presents the Supplier Readiness Review to plant procurement specialists and materials managers 30 days prior to production start.
• Owes or delegates open tasks within 30 days after production starts.
• Contributes to continuous improvement by identifying areas for enhancement.
