NPD Test Engineer

General Responsibilities

Serves as a technical lead within the R&D Laboratory, supporting new product development, environmental qualification, and product validation activities.

Serves as a technical interface between Design Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, and Program Management.

Develops and implements test methods, equipment, and processes to verify product compliance with design, manufacturing, and customer requirements, ensuring consistent product quality, reliability, and manufacturing readiness.

Leads the design, development, and implementation of cost-effective methods through testing and troubleshooting systems and equipment for all phases of product development and manufacturing.

Leads the testing of diagnostic programs, designs test fixtures and equipment, and completes specifications and procedures for new products.

Captures and coordinates the labor, schedules, and equipment required for testing and evaluating standard and special devices.

Ensures that programs are in compliance with standards for good laboratory practices, good manufacturing practices, and/or good clinical practices.

Sets the parameters and tests customer samples.

Experience / Qualifications

• A university degree required (i.e. Bachelors degree) or equivalent relevant work experience.
• Must be a team player able to work in a fast-paced environment with demonstrated ability to handle multiple competing tasks and demands.

• Strong organization, planning, and time management skills to achieve results.
• Strong personal and professional ethical values and integrity.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office programs (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel).
• Strong interpersonal & collaboration skills to work effectively with all levels of the organization including suppliers and/or external customers.

Additional Qualifications

• PREFERRED: Experience with data acquisition systems, sensors, instrumentation, and engineering test software.
• Ability to interpret mechanical drawings, electrical schematics, and engineering specifications.
• Familiarity with DO-160 and aerospace qualification methodologies.
• Working knowledge of LabVIEW, MATLAB, Python, or automated test system development.

Pay

Base Salary Range: $102,640.00 - $141,130.00
