Key Responsibilities
- Lead manufacturing engineering activities supporting new product development (NPD) and product launches.
- Review PCB schematics, layouts, and Gerber files to ensure Design for Manufacturability (DFM) and Design for Testability (DFT).
- Develop, validate, and optimize manufacturing processes for SMT, selective soldering, wave soldering, reflow, AOI, X-ray inspection, conformal coating, and final assembly.
- Support prototype and pilot builds by troubleshooting manufacturing issues and implementing process improvements.
- Lead process qualification activities and ensure manufacturing readiness for production.
- Create and maintain manufacturing documentation, including work instructions, BOMs, ECOs, panel layouts, and test procedures.
- Drive yield improvement, cost reduction, and continuous improvement initiatives across manufacturing operations.
- Manage engineering projects, schedules, and cross-functional activities to ensure successful product implementation.
- Collaborate with Hardware, Quality, Test, Supply Chain, and Manufacturing teams to resolve production challenges.
- Provide technical support and training to manufacturing personnel during product introduction and process changes.
- Support site goals related to safety, quality, delivery, inventory, and productivity.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or another STEM-related discipline.
- Experience supporting New Product Development (NPD) in an electronics manufacturing environment.
- Strong knowledge of PCB Assembly (PCBA) manufacturing processes.
- Hands-on experience with SMT manufacturing, soldering processes, and electronic assembly.
- Experience with DFM/DFT, process development, and manufacturing qualification.
- Strong project management and cross-functional collaboration skills.
- Excellent troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and problem-solving abilities.
- Strong communication and technical documentation skills.
Pay
Compensation is commensurate with experience.
Schedule
The role is a hybrid 4 days onsite.
