About the role
The Premier Physician Network offers Nurse Practitioner positions that work in conjunction with the center’s Physician(s) and clinical staff to provide exemplary patient primary health care and continuity of medical services under the direction of the supervising physician(s). Responsibilities vary by position and specialty. Nurse Practitioners must be accessible to their physicians, staff, and supervisors.
Responsibilities
- Apply professional medical practice knowledge to give and evaluate patient care.
- Utilize and modify principles, methods, and techniques of medicine to provide ongoing patient care.
- Take medical histories, assess medical conditions, and interpret findings.
- Maintain quality assurance and quality control standards.
- React calmly and effectively in emergency situations.
- Demonstrate excellent communication skills with both patients and colleagues.
Requirements
- Master’s degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program.
- Certified as an Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (ACNP).
- Current State of Ohio licensure, maintained at all times.
- Current Certificate to Prescribe, maintained at all times.
- Minimum of five years of experience as a Registered Nurse.
- One year of experience as an ACNP preferred.
- Thorough understanding of HIPAA law and demonstrated professional discretion.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Computer literacy, including proficiency in Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Experience with Electronic Medical Records (EMR), preferably EPIC, is an advantage.
