About the Role

ECU Health Physicians and The Department of Cardiovascular Sciences at East Carolina University's Brody School of Medicine are seeking a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join an established cardiology program in Greenville, North Carolina. The successful candidate will help develop and support a new resistant hypertension clinic.

  • Established cardiology practice inclusive of 20 physicians and 8 Advanced Practice Providers
  • Primarily outpatient clinical care with some cross over to the inpatient service as needed
  • Schedule options include (4) 10-hour shifts or (5) 8-hour shifts per week
  • No Call
  • Optional weekend inpatient shifts available for extra income
  • Patient mix will include resistant hypertension and standard cardiology patients
  • Opportunity to develop protocols and pathways for resistant hypertension patients that will feed into a new renal denervation procedure program
  • 29-county referral network that includes 1.4 million residents

Requirements

  • Nurse Practitioner applicants must be certified as an ANP, FNP, ACNP or AGNP
  • At least two years of provider experience, preferably in cardiology, is required
  • ACLS certification from the American Heart Association is required

About The Brody School of Medicine at East Carolina University

The Brody School of Medicine has trained physicians for more than 50 years as the only allopathic medical school in North Carolina's Atlantic Coastal Plain.
