NP/PA: Nephrology (Causal) - Duluth/Virginia/Grand Rapids

About the role

Utilizes advanced health assessment, knowledge, and decision making skills, works independently and in collaboration with physicians and other health care professionals. Provides health care to individuals and families, emphasizing health promotion and disease prevention.

Responsibilities

• Works with physicians and other health care professionals to provide health care to individuals and families.
• Emphasizes health promotion and disease prevention.
• Assists physicians with non-encounter work.
• Hired candidates may be eligible to receive additional compensation in the form of bonuses, quality incentives or production-based compensation.

Requirements

• Desired skill set: Experience in complex chronic disease management.
• Typical Shift: up to 0.4 FTE per pay period 5% clinic work 5% hospital work 90% dialysis rounding.
• Ideal candidate does not need to live in the Duluth area; candidate could live in areas near Virginia, MN or Grand Rapids, MN as there is travel involved with this position.
• Schedule: Variable start and end times due to travel.
• Estimated Patients Per Day: 12 (office), 12-15 (dialysis).
• Adult patients only (18+).

Qualifications

• Np Licensure/Certification Qualifications: Current licensure as a registered nurse in appropriate state, Current licensure as a Nurse Practitioner in appropriate state, Current certification in CPR, National certification in applicable area, Successful completion of Essentia Health credentialing process prior to practice.
• Pa Current licensure as a physician assistant in appropriate state, Current certification in CPR, National certification, Successful completion of Essentia Health credentialing process prior to practice.
