NP/PA - Family Medicine - Ely, MN

About the role

The Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant will join a collaborative clinic practice team of 5 MD’s and 1 APP. The ideal candidate should demonstrate flexibility to adapt to changing volumes and patient acuity, possess self-confidence, and have experience with change management.

Responsibilities

• Utilizes advanced health assessment, knowledge, and decision-making skills, working independently and in collaboration with physicians and other health care professionals.
• Provides health care to individuals and families, focusing on health promotion and disease prevention, with a range of patients from newborn to elderly.
• Cares for patients in a compassionate, supportive, and respectful environment, fostering a collegial atmosphere with other APC staff.
• Establishes and enhances positive relationships with patients, co-workers, and others through high-level customer service skills.
• Works within a 40-hour per week schedule, Monday through Friday, from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.

Requirements

• Master’s or Doctorate degree in Nursing or Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Physician Assistant Studies from an accredited program.
• Current licensure as a registered nurse in appropriate state (if NP).
• Current licensure as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant in appropriate state.
• Current certification in CPR.
• National certification, in applicable area.
• Successful completion of Essentia Health credentialing process prior to practice.

Qualifications

• Experience in Women’s Health is preferred but not required.
• Flexibility to adapt to frequent changes in patient volume and acuity.
• Self-confidence and change management experience are valued.
