NP/PA - Family Medicine (0.6 FTE) - Ada, MN

About the role

Utilizes advanced health assessment, knowledge, and decision making skills, works independently and in collaboration with physicians and other health care professionals. Provides health care to individuals and families, emphasizing health promotion and disease prevention.

Responsibilities

• Works in a low-volume, small, friendly provider group with strong teamwork and work ethics.
• Provides Family Medicine services and Emergency Medicine coverage to the community of Ada and its surrounding area.
• Care for patients ranging in age from newborn to elderly as noted in age-related category and area of expertise.
• Establish and enhance positive relationships with patients, co-workers, and others.
• May care for up to 3-4 ER patients per 24-hour period and 28-32 clinic visits per clinic day split between two providers.
• Rounds on 1-2 inpatients/swing bed patients per day.
• Provides care in a variety of settings including but not limited to 11 clinic exam rooms and 1 procedure room.
• Participates in on-site housing provided for overnights/weekend call coverage.

Requirements

• Family Medicine trained/certified to provide care for all ages and comfortable working with minimal supervision.
• ER experience a plus!

Qualifications

• Master’s or Doctorate degree in Nurse Practitioner or Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Physician Assistant program from an accredited program/institution.
• Licensure/Certifications Required: Current licensure as a registered nurse in appropriate state (if NP), current licensure as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant in appropriate state, current certification in CPR, national certification in applicable area, successful completion of Essentia Health credentialing process prior to practice.
