NP Behavioral Health - relief/per diem

About the role

PeaceHealth is seeking a Relief (per diem) Inpatient PMHNP to join their team in Eugene, Oregon. The position works as part of a Physician and APC team on a 35-bed acute inpatient psychiatric unit. The role offers opportunities for medical administrative training, potential for teaching and research, and occasional support to the Emergency Department.

Responsibilities

• Work as part of a Physician and APC team on our 35 bed acute unit
• Liaison with other medical support staff and therapists
• Collaborate with the emergency department and other community-based ambulatory treatment teams
• Support the development of new programs and initiatives
• Participate in ongoing research and educational activities

Requirements

• Current licensure as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP)
• Experience in inpatient psychiatric settings preferred
• Knowledge of evidence-based practices in mental health
• Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Nursing (MSN) or related field
• Current license to practice as a PMHNP in Oregon
• ACNP certification preferred
• Experience in inpatient psychiatric settings

• Excellent clinical judgment and decision-making skills
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Proficient in electronic health record systems
