At UNIS Transportation, Owner Operators and Motor Carriers play a pivotal role in ensuring the seamless flow of goods across our nationwide logistics network. This position is central to our LTL (Less-than-Truckload) and FTL (Full Truckload) operations, providing the backbone for reliable, efficient, and safe transportation services. Responsibilities
- Partner with UNIS Transportation to provide safe and timely delivery of non-hazardous freight across LTL & FTL routes nationwide.
- Leverage our high-volume freight network to maintain consistent trip schedules and optimize operational efficiency.
- Adhere to UNIS policies and industry regulations to uphold safety, service quality, and delivery standards.
- Build a lasting partnership with the UNIS team by collaborating with dispatchers and utilizing operational support resources, ensuring successful logistics execution.
- Utilize your equipment and expertise to maintain cargo integrity and vehicle safety, contributing to long-term reliability and trust.
Requirements
- Possession of a valid commercial driver's license (CDL) appropriate for the vehicle and route types.
- Ownership of a well-maintained and compliant trucking unit suitable for LTL and/or FTL freight delivery.
- At least two years of experience as an Owner Operator or Motor Carrier in the logistics/transportation industry.
- Comprehensive knowledge of DOT regulations and compliance standards.
- Proven track record of reliability, punctuality, and effective communication within freight delivery operations.
Preferred Requirements
- Experience operating within a national logistics network, including familiarity with multiple terminals and regions.
- A demonstrated history of developing partnerships with logistics firms, aligning with mutual goals for growth and efficiency.
- Experience working with non-hazardous, high-volume freight and optimizing delivery schedules for operational success.
