Responsibilities
- Captures resident care in collaboration with Administrator, Director of Nursing, and other disciplines within the center to ensure quality care.
- Maintains high levels of clinical competency, staying updated on clinical best practices to align with regulatory requirements and organizational strategic plans.
- Effectively makes decisions to achieve the best possible clinical outcomes for residents.
- Collaborates and partners with others to develop care plans and provide continuous care to enhance the outcomes for residents and clients.
- Ensures compliance with nursing standards, excellence, and resident care delivery in accordance with organizational, local, state, and federal regulations.
- Timely completion of admission documentation, including vital signs, skin sheets, and explaining the call light system.
- Responds promptly to call lights and communicates resident needs to the appropriate individual when unable to handle them independently.
- Prioritizes call light requests and ensures all are addressed in a timely manner.
- Schedules and administers medications accurately and correctly, ensuring proper dosages.
- Conducts daily rounds with the incoming shift and provides shift reports that are accurate, concise, and relevant to the resident’s care.
- Coordinates the distribution of resident information in a timely manner.
- Manages resident care provided by physical, speech, and occupational therapists, ensuring residents do not miss scheduled appointments.
- Assists with meeting residents' nutritional needs, including following physician orders and monitoring intake.
- Recognizes and corrects deviations from the resident's nutritional plan.
- Maintains confidentiality and respects residents' rights to their care information.
- Aids in the MDS assessment, documentation, and interdisciplinary plan of care, and assists in maintaining, reviewing, and updating the care plan.
- Completes medication administration records and treatment administration records according to company policy and procedure.
Qualifications
Currently hiring for Full Time and Part Time Night Shift positions. No specific educational background or certifications are required, but a licensed practical nurse (LPN) certification is preferred.
