About the role

This job posting is for a Shift Manager position at a McDonald’s restaurant owned and operated by an independent franchisee. The franchisee is a separate company and employer from McDonald’s USA. The franchisee is responsible for all employment matters, including hiring, firing, discipline, supervision, staffing, and scheduling.

Responsibilities

• Lead shifts every week, ensuring customers receive a fast, accurate, friendly experience.
• Provide leadership to crew and other managers during a shift to ensure great Quality, Service, and Cleanliness.
• Monitor performance during the shift, take action to ensure the team meets McDonald’s standards, monitor safety, security, and profitability.
• Communicate with the next Shift Manager to help prepare him/her to run a great shift.
• Meet targets during shifts and help assigned Departments meet their goals.
• May be responsible for Food Safety, Internal Communication, Inventory Management, Daily Maintenance and Cleanliness, Managing Crew, Quality Food Production, Exceptional Customer Service, Safety and Security, Scheduling, Training.

Requirements

• Previous leadership experience, preferably within a restaurant, retail, or hospitality environment.
• Positive team player with a flexible schedule who likes to have fun and works in the fast-paced McDonald’s environment.
• Must be 18 years or older to be a manager in our restaurants.
