Position for the 2026-2027 school year. Pay may be prorated based upon approved hire date.
Essential Functions
- Comply with IHSAA MSAC rules/regulations and all FWCS policies, including FWCS code of ethics.
- Instruct and supervise all athletic practices and games.
- Maintain high expectations for students both academically and athletically.
- Utilize, organize, and work with other head coaches and assistants.
- Obtain SPB/Minibus certification before the season if not already certified.
- Work effectively with students from multicultural backgrounds.
- Demonstrate a commitment to developing positive working relations with students, parents, teachers, and administrators.
Qualifications
- Preference for candidates with high school coaching experience.
- Preference for candidates who will be teaching at Northrop High School for the 2026-2027 school year.
- If a current FWCS teacher, must fulfill daily contracted hours before coaching.
- If not an FWCS teacher, must be available at 3:30 PM Monday through Friday afternoons.
- Valid Driver’s License required.

- Communication Skills: Ability to speak clearly and hear effectively in various environments.
- Manual Dexterity: Adeptness in the use of hands and fingers.
- Postural Endurance: Ability to sit or stand for prolonged periods as required by the job.
- Flexibility: Ability to bend at the waist, kneel, or crouch to perform specific duties.
- Visual Acuity: Close vision ability with the capacity to adjust focus.
- Mobility: Freedom to sit or walk at will throughout the work environment.
- Strength and Stamina: Capability to lift, carry, push, or pull up to fifty (50) pounds or more.
- Outdoor Work: Tolerance of work outside in various weather conditions.
