About the role

Our bartenders are life-of-the-party, gregarious Rockstars who know most of their regulars by name. It’s a “Come One, Come All” family-run restaurant, and we welcome people from all over for great food, great drinks, and great fun. We serve continuously from open until late night, and we’re a home away from home for many Floridians.

Responsibilities

• Follow all company safety and sanitation policies and procedural training.
• Mix liquor and drink ingredients according to company recipes and measures.
• Serve guests in a cheerful and courteous temperament, displaying a neat and clean professional image.
• Maintain a neat, clean, and properly stocked bar.
• Verify correct pricing for drinks.
• Serve food according to the Server Job Description requisites.
• Be knowledgeable of drink promotions and specials, and answer guests’ questions verbally and clearly.
• Accurately enter orders into the POS system in a timely manner.
• Assess guests’ demeanor, identify intoxicated guests, and determine when to summon a Manager.
• Collect guests’ payments (credit cards, cash, or gift cards only), ensure transactions are correct using the POS efficiently, calculate and deliver correct change to guests in a timely manner.
• Perform shift changes, opening/closing duties, and assigned sidework.
• Request proper identification and manually calculate and determine guests’ age.

Requirements

• Ability to physically stand/walk 100% of shift.
• Ability to reach, bend, stoop, stir, wipe, and shake drinks vigorously.
• Ability to immerse hands in water frequently.
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to speak, read, and write English.
• Ability to read and write handwritten guest checks and notes.
• Complete and pass Florida Responsible Vendor program, in compliance with Flanigan’s and Florida statutes.
• Complete and pass food safety certification program, in compliance with Flanigan’s and Florida statutes.
