About the role

HCA Healthcare is hosting an invite‑only Nurse Residency Hiring Event for its North Houston facilities (Conroe Hospital, Tomball Hospital, Houston Northwest Hospital, Houston Kingwood Hospital, Houston North Cypress Hospital) in October (date TBD). The event is designed to connect top new‑graduate nurses with the right team from day one, with candidates pre‑screened by recruiting and scheduled into dedicated interview slots for a personalized experience.

The HCA Healthcare Nurse Residency Program is a year‑long, full‑time paid program that supports the transition from student nurse to registered nurse through hands‑on clinical experience, mentorship, classroom learning, and ongoing support. Residents receive advanced clinical training in a specialty area, monthly educational sessions, preceptorship with a facility preceptor, skills measurement via simulations, mentorship from experienced nurse leaders, and participation in an evidence‑based practice project. The program surrounds residents with a supportive community of nurse educators, experienced nurses, and fellow residents to promote learning, clinical application, and socialization.

As an RN Resident, you will coordinate and deliver high‑quality, patient‑centered care in accordance with department‑specific requirements and state/specialty standards, collaborating with medical providers and the care team using nursing models such as “Assess, Perform, Teach, and Manage.” You will serve as an advocate for patients, families, and caregivers to support an unparalleled patient experience.

HCA Healthcare has been recognized as one of the World’s Most Ethical Companies® by the Ethisphere Institute more than ten times. In recent years, the organization spent an estimated $3.7 billion on charitable care, uninsured discounts, and other uncompensated expenses. “Bricks and mortar do not make a hospital. People do.” – Dr. Thomas Frist, Sr., HCA Healthcare Co‑Founder.
