North Complex (Caballo) - Plant

About the role

Maintain, troubleshoot, repair and operate plant in a safe and efficient manner. Operate support equipment as required.

Responsibilities

• Plant washdown
• Operation of control room
• Maintenance of crushing and conveying equipment
• Plant maintenance, PM and repair functions performed in the plant maintenance area
• Solve problems and troubleshoot situations arising in the Plant Maintenance area
• Conduct safety observations and complete safety interactions monthly
• Other duties as assigned by the company

Requirements

• Minimum six months experience of plant or mill experience
• Knowledge of and ability to operate train load out system
• Knowledge of hydraulic and water pumps
• Working knowledge of plant systems
• Self-directed and motivated
• Ability to work effectively and efficiently with minimal supervision
• Possess good verbal and written communication skills
• Abide by and ensure compliance with all company rules and guidelines and all applicable state and federal laws
• Work independently
• Work in all types of weather conditions and at different times of day
• Work overtime as required by the Company
• Train others in plant operations

Physical Requirements

• Surface Environment: Must have the ability to stand for up to 4 hours per shift
• Must have the ability to be seated for up to 4 hours to operate equipment or vehicles
• Must have the ability to work from elevated positions, walk/climb up and down stairs/steps and climb on and off equipment and ladders
• Must have the ability to wear required protective footwear, hearing and eye protection, and other personal protective equipment as required by Company and MSHA
• Must have the ability to perform repetitive hand and wrist motions (push, pull, twist, handle), and have rapid reflex movements of the arms and legs and good hand to eye coordination
• Must have the ability to lift/raise 10 - 50 lbs. without mechanical assistance frequently during the course of work shift
• Must have the ability to work in extreme conditions, including but not limited to changing weather conditions, dust, mud, varying levels of noise from low to high, varying degrees of light and dark, in and around artificial light and in a confined work area
