THE TEAM YOU WILL BE JOINING A PE-backed global company with operations across North America, EMEA, and APAC (15 entities in multiple currencies) Reports directly to the CFO, a highly regarded leader known for developing and promoting his people A seat on the management team, with regular board exposure: monthly board updates and quarterly board meetings Leads a team of 7, including a strong #2 being developed toward a controller role Works alongside peer regional controllers in EMEA and APAC A supportive CEO and leadership team, with strong partners in Operations, IT, Legal, and Treasury What They Offer You Fast-track visibility to the board and the PE sponsor, which is rare at the controller level The chance to lead accounting through a planned change of ownership and refinance A front-row seat to an AI-driven transformation of AP, AR, and the close process A leader who invests in mentorship and career growth $160K–$180K base, plus a 20% bonus and equity LOCATION Charlotte, NC, hybrid with 4 days onsite Flexible hours to accommodate early EMEA and late APAC calls WHY THIS ROLE IS IMPORTANT Owns North America accounting, which is about 70% of the business, plus corporate consolidation of 13 international entities Leads the cleanup of historical financials following an ERP implementation, ahead of a Quality of Earnings process in 2027 Drives the month-end close from 10 days down to 5 Serves as the primary point of contact for auditors, outsourced Big 4 tax, and valuation specialists, and translates their work for the board and shareholders Brings an accounting perspective to a cost accounting project now underway Mentors the next generation of controllership on the team THE BACKGROUND THAT FITS CPA and Big 4 experience required 10+ years of experience (12 preferred), with prior controller experience; not someone growing into the role Manufacturing or production experience, with a strong background in cost and operational accounting Multi-entity, multi-currency consolidation experience PE-backed, QoE, or transaction experience is a strong plus Has led ERP stabilization or post-implementation cleanup A change agent who thrives in transformation: about 80% leader and 20% hands-on Open
