About the role
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced educational leader to serve as the next Superintendent for our school district. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of effective leadership, a deep commitment to student success, and the ability to work collaboratively with staff, parents, and the community.
Responsibilities
- Provide visionary leadership to ensure the district’s mission, goals, and objectives are achieved.
- Oversee the development and implementation of district-wide policies, programs, and initiatives.
- Manage the district’s budget, resources, and facilities to ensure efficient and effective operations.
- Foster a positive and inclusive school culture that supports student learning and staff professional growth.
- Serve as the primary spokesperson for the district, building strong relationships with stakeholders, including parents, community members, and local government officials.
- Ensure compliance with state and federal education laws and regulations.
- Lead and support district administrators, principals, and staff in achieving educational excellence.
Requirements
- Master’s degree in education, educational leadership, or a related field (Doctorate preferred).
- Valid Michigan Superintendent Certification or the ability to obtain one.
- Minimum of 5 years of successful experience in school administration, with at least 3 years in a district-level leadership role.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and manage complex educational systems.
- Experience in budget development, financial management, and resource allocation.
