Nontenure Faculty Pool - Music

About the role

The School of Music seeks to develop a pool of candidates for possible temporary/non-tenured faculty to teach music courses. New hires will join a nationally recognized department with a dynamic faculty dedicated to a collaborative and innovative approach to teaching undergraduate and graduate students.

Responsibilities

• Teach one to four courses per semester

Appointment details

• Teaching appointments are based upon student demand on a semester-by-semester basis
• Eligibility for annual reappointment is contingent upon satisfactory annual performance evaluations during the term period, in addition to continuity of funding and departmental need
• This posting is for the fall 2026, spring 2027, and summer 2026/2027 semesters
• This posting is not intended to convey that such a need currently exists
• Applicants applying for a pool faculty position will be available to the departmental search committee for consideration in case the need arises
• All positions are subject to availability of funds
