About the Role
This part-time, unpaid remote internship offers insight into the key skills required to lead and develop a nonprofit organization.
Responsibilities
- Meet with members of Government in your District/Constituency; represent The Borgen Project at various business, political and community events; mobilize individuals to contact their members of Government in support of key poverty-reduction legislation.
- Learn how to fundraise. Create a personal fundraising campaign and meet targets.
- Update job postings; inform groups and classes of openings, introduction to recruitment platforms and listen in to interviews.
- Pitch story ideas to print, broadcast and digital media and utilize social media and develop strategies for web-based messaging.
Qualifications
No prior experience is necessary. We're looking for people who are passionate about fighting poverty and righting wrongs, regardless of GPA or background.
Details
- Part-time: 12 hours per week, 12-week program (can work ahead and complete in fewer weeks if availability is limited).
- Unpaid internship; college credit is available.
- New programs begin every month; you choose the start month.
