Description

The Borgen Project is an international organization dedicated to improving living conditions for people affected by war, famine, and poverty through political advocacy. With a history spanning 20 years, the organization has successfully supported the passage of several bills benefiting over 500 million people in developing countries.

Responsibilities

  • Meet with members of Government in your District/Constituency
  • Represent The Borgen Project at various business, political, and community events
  • Mobilize individuals to contact their members of Government in support of key poverty-reduction legislation
  • Learn how to fundraise
  • Create a personal fundraising campaign and meet targets
  • Update job postings
  • Inform groups and classes of openings
  • Introduction to recruitment platforms
  • Listen in to interviews
  • Pitch story ideas to print, broadcast, and digital media
  • Utilize social media and develop strategies for web-based messaging

Requirements

  • No prior experience is necessary
  • Passionate about fighting poverty and righting wrongs
