Overview

The bartender at Omni Amelia Island Resort & Spa provides efficient, friendly customer service and maintains a clean, professional appearance. Responsibilities include greeting guests, monitoring bar cleanliness, communicating with staff, and ensuring responsible service of alcohol.

Responsibilities

• Acknowledge and greet all guests, anticipate guest needs and respond to inquiries or requests.
• Maintain full knowledge of food and beverage offerings.
• Monitor and maintain bar cleanliness, sanitation, and organization.
• Properly provide silverware and condiments before food is presented.
• Clean and reset bar area as guests depart or preparation is completed.
• Perform triple sink procedures.
• Communicate professionally with management, kitchen staff, and serving staff.
• Contribute to a professional workplace that maximizes employee morale, productivity, and effectiveness.
• Work well with a diverse team of Front of House and Back of House staff.
• Ensure responsible service of alcohol by following all legal requirements including carding and consumption.
• Accurately take food and beverage orders from guests and promptly record transactions in Micros system.
• Maintain guest tabs and process payments promptly.
• Monitor par levels and sell and upsell products.
• Work in a fast-paced team environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year bartending experience, preferably in high volume and casual environments.
• Commitment to quality service and food and beverage knowledge.
• Strong communication skills.
• Wine, beer, and spirits knowledge.
• Unexpired Food Handlers and TABC certification or obtain upon hire.
• Maintain a professional business appearance, attitude, and performance.
• Able to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays.
• Able to work outdoors.
