Primary Responsibilities
- Teach up to 12 credit hours per semester in financial planning and related finance topics (e.g., investments, personal financial planning, retirement, estate, and tax planning, risk management).
- Develop and deliver course materials aligned with program learning objectives and industry standards.
- Incorporate applied, experiential learning techniques to enhance student engagement.
- Maintain regular office hours.
- Provide timely feedback and academic support to students.
- Participate in curriculum development and continuous program improvement initiatives.
- Stay current with developments in financial planning practice, regulation, and education.
- Engage in service activities that support the department, college, and university as appropriate for a teaching-focused appointment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience as a financial advisor or in a closely related role.
- Professional certification in financial planning.
- Prior teaching experience at the college or university level in financial planning or related topics.
- Evidence of teaching effectiveness and commitment to student-centered learning.
Position Information
- The teaching positions are 10-month or 12-month, depending upon responsibilities, full-time, non-tenure track appointments.
- Successful candidates will teach 24 credits over two semesters, with an option to teach overload and summer classes for additional compensation.
- Positions are renewable based on performance reviews and programmatic needs.

- Assistant Teaching Professor: Ranges 21-24
